picked up my new bike today, just got a busa against all the advice of my friends. they all planning to take out a life insurance policy for me as they think im going to kill myself on it.

its an awesome machine, i was astounded with the sheer power of the thing.

its a 2003 rk2 model. paid 4K sterling for it, only has 9k miles on clock. love it to bits.

on way back from Birmingham ate , chewed and spat on a R1. he passed me and i was doing 120mph, thought im not having that, little twist of throttle and i took off, next thing i saw was the needle had hit 160mph. overtook him and left him for dust. still had plenty to go speedwise but i bottled when i saw what speed i was doing.

then slowed down to 90.....:moon:.cops on motorway......

Now days???? Hell.. first time I owned a bike and drove leagally.. 20 years ago.. They didn't watch then.... :banghead::lol:

:welcome::welcome::welcome: To the org. Like everyone says, be safe. A lot more weight and power than most bikes.. It DOES take time to get use to and learn. Unless you want to just give me a policy on you too.. Then you do what you do.. haha.. just kidding.. seriously.. be safe.

They could be right, hope they are wrong, if you are that easily provoked it doesn't paint a pretty picture for the future. I prefer having members for life than remembering the life of our members.

:welcome: Enjoy your ride
