Took the truck to my parents for thanksgiving, went out friday morning to do some grocery shopping and took the monte carlo, pulling into the driveway i spot this in my tire.

Figuring it may not be all the way in, just a sharp shard possibly sprayed soapy water on it and no bubbles, sweet, give it a little tug and it starts leaking :banghead: And i proceed to pull out the entire allen wrench

Luckily i have a full size spare on a matching wheel, unfortunately the tire is different (toyo open country) but toss it on and typical chain tire places oh thats to dangerous to patch, have been hunting high and low to find a single tire to replace it with, these are still around 50-60% so i hate to drop the money (470ea) on a brand new tire, but finding the same tire, same size and used is like pulling teeth, even looking at an entire decent used set off craigslist if the price is right but seems to be a hard size to come by. So have a buddy who's got contacts at nitto who said its pluggable there as these are a 10ply tire with a 4ply sidewall, first plug didnt hold but with a very slight leak, so pulled that out and redid it a little different this morning, gonna let it sit and see what happens, atleast to hold me off till i can get something else :banghead::banghead:

So if anyone has or knows someone that has a 35x12.5x20LT nitto trail grappler M/T at around the 14/32" range i'm very interested:thumbsup:

Atleast my spare wheel matches

You can blame Ikea for the allen wrench, some frustrated customer must have thrown it away:laugh:

Good news is i have a buddy that lowered his truck last spring as he got more serious into racing (i prefer to spank fast cars up in the air:rofl:) But he still has his 37's, says they're around 50%, pretty sure they're gonna fit might be a bit close up front and i'm getting em for 200 bucks so i'll give those a try, sell off my 3 good ones and decide if i'm gonna stick with the 35's, go up to 37s permanently and if i stick with the same tire or go to the ones like this guy has.

Get a shop to pull tire off
Get a plug, patch from someplace like walmarts tire shop its a z rated plug patch
It would patch it nicely

go with 37's. you've got the HP. hell, you might even get better mileage and a little more traction from a dig.

That sucks!

I remember once when I worked for a tire place, I pulled a complete 5/16 wrench out of a tire once! Craftsman, even:laugh:
