Bike is all stock and was very hard to launch.Had alot of wheel spin off the line or shifting to 2nd gear. With leathers I weigh about 240 to 245 lbs.Going back in about a week to get the 60 foot time down to the 1.60s.I tried shifting at 10,500 rpm, going to bring the shift point down to 10,000 rpm.I'm looking to break into the 9s before I do any modification. The bike will run 9s with a lighter rider with no problem.

Cool Gixxer, I seldom see guys post real numbers. I guess they're afraid that they didn't set the world on fire with a 9.20 pass. Those are good numbers. Do you have the Brock clutch mod? Or are you 100% stock?

PS I don't know what a good 1/8 mile time is. Never been on a track that short, altough I've made more than a few 1/8 mile passes on 1/4 mile tracks!

wow , man . those are some pretty decent times. i havnt had mine on a 1/4 mile track but i have raced it 1/8th. i ran a 6.90@117 with a 1.96 60 ft. im one down on the front and have an airbox mod, brock clutch mod,pc2 and a micron ex.
i admit my times arent as good as they should be but im very inexperienced racing bikes , and had a hard time launching it.
keep us up on your times buddy , im very interested in your mods if any also.

My bike is 100% stock for now.I try to get a Baseline on what it will do before I do any kind of modifications.I ran a friend's Hayabusa through the 1/4 and went a 9.87 at 147 mph.He went a 9.60 at 151 mph because he is a better and lighter rider. The only thing that was done to his bike was regearing and the bike was lowered.

Gixxer 1300,

10.17 is very impressive, especially considering your weight. What part of the country and what track did you race it at? What were the weather conditions and does it want to wheelie in second gear? Stock exhaust and gearing too?

I'm in Orlando Florida. The track is Orlando Speed world.I launch at 4000 rpm while sliding the clutch and shift clutchless.Yes it wants the wheelie through first and 2nd gear.It was about 70 degrees that night with no winds.I did a total of 3 runs(got to the track kinda late)and all were 10.17s on te nose.60 foot times were 1.72s and 1.73s.There was another Busa rider that was there but I will let him post his own times. It was his frist time at a track. If i can get my 60 foot times in the 1.60 range I should be able to run a high 9 in 100% stock form.

10.09 @ 146 mph---1.75 60 foot time was my best.
I can not launch this bike consistently, and also have trouble keeping the front wheel down. I use the clutch between gears.

195 lbs. in street clothes. Chicago-Ran at Route 66 in Joliet, IL.
It was about 75-80 degrees. I only made two runs, then they booted me because i did not have a tether line.
My first 60 foot time was 1.82, and this was actually my best 1/4 et 10.09 @ 146mph. The 1.75 60 foot I shifted like a girl and ran a 10.25 @ 144 mph.
