I just saw this vid demonstrating the pops and bangs option on Moore’s ECU flash. The fun begins at about 6:00 in the video below.
It sounds to me like paint cans tumbling down stairs or somebody hitting a metal drum with a bat.
It makes me laugh but not sure I could take the racket for very long.

What do you guys think?

He actually has my bike in one of his videos with the pops and bangs tune and I love it. Can totally be normal rider or gixxer bruh whenever I want.

trash gimmick. if your turbo has some kind of anti lag tuning then it’s for a purpose. to b annoying and just make noise… get a harley and make all the noise u want while barely getting up to highway speed.

I like that crackling sound that some cars have on deceleration. Very cool.
These loud bangs are something else. Sounds like something is going wrong with the engine.
Maybe it sounds better in person

Why purposely load a bad tune? Get it flashed without that garbage.

According to Moore adding this option does not affect the tune or the engine itself.
It’s merely a noisemaker.
At one point in the video Moore asks the viewers if it’s “stupid” as he puts it.
I’ll bet he personally thinks the pop and bang option IS juvenile based on how he asked that question.
He offers it because it adds to the cost of the flash and it sets him apart from other tuners.

It's part of the tune, therefore it affects it. I agree with Chris, it's stupid but to each his own.

I’d use it whenever I went thru a tunnel probably lol but I’m still a child at heart, I rode a bmw s1krr that did it, made me laugh everytime haha

And this is nowhere near the level of challengers, Camaros, mustangs, etc

Personally, not my thing, guess I'm old. I do think it's cool that he programs it above a certain RPM, so you have some control over it.

Pops and bang tune:

What does it do in the tune?
Is it bad for your bike?
If it is then why would anymore offer it?
If not then at what point/horsepower is it bad?

You can call their site and ask these questions for direct answers.
I looked into this and from what I know it’s the exact same tune either way.
The only difference is for a few dollars more he adds the pops and bangs feature.
If you don’t like it you can mail in your ECU and have him delete it.

To me it’s an obnoxious noisemaker that I can do without.
I have the Moore Mafia regular tune and love the burbles on down shifts.
That’s enough for me.
