Hi all ,, I have an issue ,, when the indicators or turn signals are activated it dims / flicker all other lights , I have tested the rectifier/regulator and found an issue so I have replaced it with a mosfet upgraded one ,, not a cheep one tho ,,
Also have checked and cleaned the earth lead from battery to engine .
I have checked the relay.
I have checked the switches on the bars , like new ,
I found the multi plug for the front lights and the blue wire for the hazard lights was slightly corroded ,, so cleaned that up ,, still issue ,,,, I’m usually quite good at fault finding BUT I’m fkn lost on this one ,,, any help would be appreciated a lot , thank you

Welcome,

Which generation bike do you have?

My Gen 2 does this when I have the 4 ways on but not signal lights....but I also have HED headlights so I contributed it to that....

It could be a bad relay in your case....

Hi there , thanks , Iv got K9 gen2 , it’s got the dim flicker even on just single signals not just on hazards,Iv checked and replaced the relay to 2 different types standard and led relay , but no resolve ( I had both new from my bandit 12 and they are identical part numbers for the busa on both known to work well ,, , to be honest there is not much I haven’t tried , but thanks for the input

Not that I should ask but I take it the battery is good and up to par.......I know it most likely is but I am just spit-balling.....

What rpm are you idling at? Maybe it's too low?

Battery checked even used the one from bandit (same) , full charge , this happens even when it’s off and just ignition switched on , it’s drawing 0.9-1v when off but only 0.5v when running ,, I’m thinking it’s a current draw from somewhere but have no idea where ,, but if it was a current draw it should kill the battery over time ,, it sat for 3 months and started no problem , battery was at 12.8v ,

My bike is still in storage but when I get it out and a battery in it, I will check to see if it still does this.....I'm thinking it might be a normal thing?

@sixpack577 @c10 Marty/Bryan, do you remember if yours did this?

When you say it dims /flickers all the other lights, which lights are you referring to?

You turn the right indicator on and what other lights flicker?
Headlight? Dash? Taillight or something else?

All other lights except the indicator that’s on so , front to back , dash, headlight, tail, and number plate , they dim with the indicator in sequence , like it’s taking power from else where to power them ,, as above volt drop

If you rev it slightly when it's doing this, does the flickering stop?

That is a bit of a stumper......almost like a ground is bad somewhere, not bad enough to cause major issues, just bad enough to cause this....
Yea it is that ,, when I get back I’m going to try current test and pull each fuse to see what or if this will narrow it down , there is only 1 main earth and everything ties into it ,, so with this test more narrow it down ,, I can see me having to split the loom open to get to the bottom of this ,, thanks anyway dude
