Lightning bolt symbol on dash

Hi guys,
I have recently bought an 08 model Busa but without the user manual, I have the service manual but it doesnt cover small things like setting shift light rpm etc.
I have a small lightning bolt symbol in my dash, which after reading posts on this website, relates to the shift light. Does this symbol stay on all the time while riding (which it is), as I wasnt sure if this was normal or not?

Yes. Its show its on. Four setting on shift light.

1 on-off which makes lightning bolt show or not

2. Light mode flash or constant

3 brightness. When your setting brightness little "boxes" will show and the more the brighter.

4 activation rpm.

Not neccesarily in that order either.

This is off top of my head but I believe you access the menu by starting with bike off. Key off. Hold trip and adj. Turn key on hold down for a little bit, lightning bolt will come on or off when you push adj button trip goes to next setting.
