Did you guys catch Pinks! this week? They were racing 125 shifter karts. They showed on prompt saying they can go from 0-100 and back to 0 in 7 seconds
. Watching that episode made me miss the on I had. Mine wasn't as fast as theirs though. Mine was a 100cc direct drive kart. I clocked it at 73 mph so it wasn't exactly slow.
As to what happened to it, I sold that and my 250 4-stroke Yamaha dirtbike in order to get my first streetbike, the Honda F4. Roughly a year after that, I sold the F4 to get the mighty Hayabusa.
At the time I had it, pump-gas was roughly $1.50 per gallon and I ran 110 octane in the kart which was about $6 per gallon. With gas prices nearing $3 per gallon here in Florida, I doubt I'll bother getting another kart. Yet still, those things are fun as heck!
