iPhone 3Gs / iPhone 4 accessory compatibility

I just had a thought about the compatibility of the accessories such as usb & chargers? Obviously some docks will not work due to design of the different phones but what about car & wall chargers? Are the ports different?

They both use the same 30 pin dock connector.

I've never stepped foot in an AT&T store... The apple store always seems to be a great experience...
