i get a whooble when i throttle. professinals???

when i open my busa up and the front wheel gets light i get a mild tank slapper. sometimes its nearly bad enough to spit me off. what could this be? it happens then opening it up at as much as 40-50mph also. it dont do it atall unless its wot. if im not at wot i can slowly bring it up to top speed. ????

Could be several things, but with no real details to go on, and assuming this just started happening. It could be a steering dampner going bad, not that the stock ones do much, but you would notice as you said wot and the wheel lifting slightly. Need more info to know for sure though.

actually i purchased the bike used with 4500 miles and its been doing it since i got it. i rarely ride it though, or should i say i never really open her up a lot. the bike only has 10k on it. its a 07. all i can do to describe it is by saying that when the front wheel gets light it wants to go into a tank slapper. its the only bike i own, or owned that does it and i dont know why. maybe heavy oil in the damper? which weight should i use?

Could also be a worn front wheel, to low tire pressure..
Are the wheels lined up?
I've got a 99 with the stock damper, never serviced and I get those tendecies when
my front wheel is flat in the middle..

Agreed. Check your front tire, including the balance. I had a set of BT-21's wear on me and they caused the same issue.

If it the dampner what is the best fix without spending a lot of cash? Mine is fine my sons gix600 I just replaced oil in shocks and dampner and it is fine but I have wanted to replace or add something on my busa to help damp the front.

Open it and empty the old oil out. Fill a bucket with forktubeoil, don't remember the viscosity but I think it's 10W, dump the damper in and make sure the damper i completely submerged..
Pump in and out until you don't see any airbubbles.. Done..
Very simplified but you get the point...

I think you have deeper issues than that going on. That almost sounds like you have something in the suspension broken. I would even check the swing arm and the linkage from the swing arm to the shock, I forget exactly what it is called.

Anyway, you have some more serious issues than a worn wheel or anything of that nature. It shouldn't be doing that at all. When I crank mine and it comes up a bit, it is straight as an arrow and blurs your vision

possible your front wheel bearings are shot too. I used 50w gear oil in my dampener and it made a huge difference.

could also be that ur back wheel isnt aligned straight

check the front tire, sounds like a worn out or low pressure, or even worse a bearing problem

If you tire air pressure is good and there are no oil leaks from fork or shocks. Your rear suspension is in need of adjustment most likely. Incorrect suspension geometry can cause high speed wobbles as can a rider who is having the death grip on the bars because you are fighting with the suspension natural movement. If you lift the front even slightly and your bars aren't perfectly straight when you land down it will start a wobble as well.

My front tire is brand new. I am pretty experienced in properly alighning the wheels so I dot think hat could be the issue. I have had front wheel bearings go bad and it's definately not that. Maybe it might be he forks becsuse the compression setting on one dosent click when I adjust it. Maybe that's indicating a problem. Someone told me it might be my trple tree that's lose. Anyobe think it could be that? It seems tight to me but I never checked the smugness either. I keep my tire at 42 psi. I have a small compressor set up just for conviently checking tire pressure.

triple trees are only torqued at about 15ft-lbs.. no more

I think everyone is missing the point here. He says when he throttles up and the front wheel comes up he gets a tank slapper. That indicated it is happening from the rear, not the front.

Wheel bearings, low front tire, etc. will not make that happen. You have something warped or out of shape in the rear, I am telling you.

thats why i figured it was a not alligned rear wheel... but could be many things, in the rear

could be a mountain of things to cause the problem. Have a pro check your bike over from top to bottom. Check alignments, check bearings, etc
