Looking to replace my Tank pad and found one on ebay. The one that came on the bike is alittle small and looking for a black one..

How do remove the pad without scratching the tank and removing the old adhesive?

This is what I'm buying.. Thanks

I used a heat gun on low and a plastic scraper on one just like that. Warm up a corner and peel back with the scraper edge. Warm the contact line as you pull gently back.

Used a little goof-off to remove what little adhiesive residue was left.

Take your time.

A hair dryer works well if you dont want to buy the heat gun.

just like all have said.. heat gun/hair dryer.. I would use dental floss over a scraper but thats just my opinion.. I have a busa bra on mine so no need for those.. never had good luck putting em on.. very sticky and make sure hands are clean in case.. (leave fingerprint on glue part) lol
good luck..:beerchug:
