how do i know if my chatterbox gmsr-x1 is actually charging?

ive plugged it in, but nothing is indicating that its charging.. the plug is hot, but the battery is still cool.. any suggestions? (the chatterbox was purchased off ebay)

Run it down till it's dead; then put on charger for 4 hours. Then see if it works. That's how I did it. Then I labeled the charger so I didn't lose it amongst the hundreds of other chargers I have laying around.

Fully charged from 0 is about 8 hours. You should be able to get 10-12 hours of continuous use from one charge. Since the Chatterbox uses a 12VDC charging voltage I have a plug that I can wire on my bike to charge from the bikes battery. I use it when traveling. I plug the Chatterbox into the bike when I stop for food and for the night, and tuck it under the rear seat. I've never had a problem with it not charging, nor the bike starting the next morning.

unfortunately no but i've never had a problem with mine not charging...just make sure the plug is pushed in all the way
