Harbor Freight version of battery tender - $7.99

I've been using a Harbor Freight style battery tender on one of our seldom driven cars for quite awhile now with no probs, its worked great. I also tried it on a bike, but it tended to overcharge. WalMart has great little Schumacher brand 1.5 amp charger/tenders for 20 bucks, I have 2 on my 2 street bikes and they work awesome.......really stretch out battery life without overcharging and drying out you're batteries  I also have one of Harbor Freights stand alone wheel chocks, got it on sale for 29.99.....works pretty good for the money......although it aint no Baxley sport chock

picked up a black and decker model for the wifes S40 the other day cause we've had it for over 3yrs and it only has 1200miles on it or so! it works great... black and decker quality! was looking to by BT jr... but I couldn't find anyone localy that had em in stock!

either way u go. they are good insurance for ur battery! unless u install it DRUNK passout and destroy more bikes than most people own in a life time!

Been using the BatteryTender mini for a motorcycle occasionally and but mostly leave it connected on my two boat batteries. That is probably testing it at its limits and it has held up fine.

FYI: I've tested another less expensive brand and althought it said it stops charging when the battery was topped off, it DID NOT. I tested the BatteryTender, it does turn off.

If you buy a cheap one, test to see if it turns off or you may do more harm than good.

When do you need to start using a battery float? I ride the busa pretty much all year and even in bad weather I start her up regularly... ???

btw I bought a HF unit last week for $2.99 and havent even opened it yet.

that looks like the one that just burned down my Ex's garage. Not sure but looks like the one. It was brand new bought that day. My Ex-Best friend put it on the bike, got drunk passed out and 2 hours later the garage was burning down while he slept in the living room. My ex fiance lost her bike, Her dad's bike and the bike her and Doorknob just bought.
When it comes to electrical products that you do not tend to on a constant basis, I would go with nothing but HIGH QUALITY

IMO... i think it "worked" just fine lol

I own four of the HF chargers ranging from three to six years old. They get stretched out, tossed and kicked around and not one has failed me yet. All four of my bikes stay attached to them all winter long. I just replaced the original battery in my '04 Busa a few months ago and technically it's still good and sitting on the shelf as a back up.
