Why thank ye m’am!
I’m a Dad of 2 girls, now unbelievably 42 and 39.. oh how the years fly!
I’m visiting my youngest girl Holly at her place in beautiful (and expensive!) Queenstown New Zealand.
Incredibly picturesque town brimming with wealthy people, Holly is a property manager for an Investment fund company specialising in high end Air BnB apartments and homes, and leasing residential property.
Anyway, she has her own apartment in a 7 floor building, she’s on the 6th floor and has a great view.
To give you and idea of how expensive…Her apartment is entry level pricing and was $730K…. Crazy!!

Talked with my son and wife and the two grand kids and my daughter FaceTimed me. Drove 16 miles round trip for a pizza. Yes I live in the country. Hope every dad heard from his kids today.

Sure is.. it’s world famous with a lot of American movie actors visiting for vacations and also buying multi million dollar holiday homes here!
There’s an international airport here with flights everyday arriving from Australia, but it’s one of the trickiest landings and take offs, due to the mountainous terrain.
The accomodation prices are eye watering… and the housing and general living costs are ridiculous, normal people just can’t afford to live here.
But it’s a beautiful spot to be in and I’m pretty glad my darling daughter lives here so I can hang out here for little cost lol.

Daughters are so nice to have in a father's heart and in their lives . . yes, the price of growing old is to have fewer and fewer relations left.
But life for us is eternal so there is a time coming when our lives will be overflowing with love and our kin folk before us!

TRIP TO Costco ( maybe a repost but a good chucle ... )

Yesterday I was at my local COSTCO buying a large bag of Purina dog chow for my loyal pet, Biscuit, the Wonder Dog and was in the checkout line when a woman behind me asked if I had a dog.

What did she think I had, an elephant? So since I'm retired and have little to do, on impulse I told her that no, I didn't have a dog, I was starting the Purina Diet again. I added that I probably shouldn't, because I ended up in the hospital last time, but that I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in an intensive care ward with tubes...
