son of a b**** I wonder how many whacks that took...poor thing, and 4 some friggin flowers, not like it ate your dinner, or ran off your dog....so she beat the (less then) 1 yr old

Fawns this time of year are very small. Prolly around 2-3 months old. About the size of a skinny long legged medium size dog.

I hope they charge her to the max and make her pay restitution. If she dont like the deer she needs to move. Like said above there are ways to keep them out of your garden.

Usually Wildlife Management doesn't play when protected animals are killed like this.

The article quoted her as saying "she was afraid of the fawn and used a shovel to try to make it move". What a load of crap!!! At what point in beating with the shovel did she realize that "Gee, I guess it can't move now, since I BEAT IT TO DEATH!!!

There are plenty of other ways to protect your flowers. To beat it with a shovel...at the very least she should get fined!! Who knows what else she has beat with that shovel.
