GSXR1000 Master Cylinder trick for Busa?

Heard of guys ditching the factory Busa Front mastercylinder in place of a GSXR1000. They say it performs much better. Is this true? Also does it matter which GSXR it comes from, i.e. could it be a 600/750 K1-k4? Does it fit exactly with no modifications?

Another note, when gettn the last air bubbles out of the brakes lines, people say to zip tie the brake lever closed over night. Does the reservoir cap need to be off for this trick?
