So I was just sitting here and read a thread about a guy on a diet eating a buger (1) at Hardees and stating how good it was to have it as a reward. First thing people do is say how he isn't going to keep the weight off and he needs to try this other diet because it works 100% better. I know that people all have their own opinions as to which system works well and which doesn't.
So what really bothers me is how when the government has an opnion they make it into a law, ordinanace, or guideline that we all need to follow weather or not it makes any logical, let alone common sense. Case and point. San Francisco makes a law stating that toys in happy meals is fueling childhood obesity. Why don't we go one step further and make it a law saying that if both parents are obese then they shouldn't be allowed to have children because they don't know how to have a healthy diet plan to pass on to their children.
Sorry, just makes me upset to see all these laws that have nothing to do with anything other than some politician trying to make his mark in the history book by getting a bill/law/ordinance passed that has his name plastered all over it. It almost seems like you don't even need to know how to raise a child anymore because there is a law on everything right or wrong to do when parenting. What you are allowed to feed them, how you are allowed to punish them, what safety equipment they have to wear when riding a bike. Just pisses me off.
Feel better after this rant. Don't know where it really stemmed from. Just got mad all the sudden. I think we need to take everyone who is/wants to be a polotician and make them have normal crappy jobs that everyone else has because they are the ones who are/will mess things up even more than they already are.
