Bike looks nice bro

I'm getting ready to send my mids of to be powdercoated black. want them to match the frame. along with the rearsets. (same pipes on a Black '04 LE(I didn't like the red, but wanted the black frame)) Anyone know a good powder coater for the mids? i know you have to do somethnig special for the coating to stand up to the heat the pipes make.

vic has done alot of powdercoating for members , they have all been happy and he gets it done quick , guess he understands about down time , bein hes a member !

Curious on why you wrapped the headers . Everything I have heard or read on the subject says that it shortens the life of the header and doesnt let the bike cool down properly . Just wondering is there some new insite to this .

The headers are stainless steel,thats a wive's tale.If they were steel,(the kind that rusts) I would say no,but these are stainless and are not affected by wrapping,and they lower the temps coming out of the vents on your legs.NJ.

Did you chrome the mid pipes or is that one option you can get when you order the hmf's? I am looking into those and want the mids chromed, I have seen some here and they look like a ugly brown color.
Oh and I think you should black out those mids on yours

I did when I had those HMF's,but I only did it due to all the flack I heard about melting plastics with the system,currently I dont wrap the turbo headers,If I do a full system with the turbo,I might wrap the headers only.NJ.

That was my system,I had the mids and tips chromed.Chroming is not an option HMF offers that I know of.NJ.
