how does it ride? Been in the market as it were for a while now, heard good things about the ride quality for the new RAMs. Thinking my avalanche with its 100k miles might need to be replaced as the primary tow vehicle

I think it rides much better than the Envoy I traded in on it. I only put 35 miles or so on it. Averaged 22.5 mpg on the crusie home down the highway, which is much much better than the Envoy's 17 mpg.
