Front Rim direction?

I've been modifying the bike the last 2 months, and I sent the rim off to the chromer. The rim is back now, and I have put the spacer, bearings, and rotors back on the rim, but I do not know which way the rim is supposed to be placed. One side of the rim is flush while the other side is sunk in a little. Which side is the left side when facing forward sitting on the bike?

If its a gen ii the sunk in part goes on the clutch side and the axle goes in that side. You'll see why when u assemble.

I was able to look at a brand new Hayabusa for the front rim direction, and come to find out the sunk in side is for the brake handle side. The sunk in side houses a ring for the abs on the brake handle side for the newest gen 2's.

Cool, glad you got it figured out and shared that. So on the newer bikes the clutch side is flush
