front fork leak

I got a problem.. I think.... I have a very small leak on the left front fork. Like I said very small. its an 06 and i have 11k miles on it. its only 25 days out of warranty. Should I be worried. Im afraid the dealer will not cover it. Is it a problem? How much trouble is it to fix and can I leave it be for a while?

I would get it fixed as it will nly get worse and if it gets on brakes and tire you stand a good chance of not stoping in time or washing out the front.I can give you a short term fix.

If it is covered, get it fixed now. It's not a cheap job do have done by someone else.

It's not real difficult, just time consuming.

I am waiting on a call from the dealer about it being covered. I would hope that it being only about 25 days out of warranty that it would be covered especially since it has been in the garage for the last 7 weeks. I mean come on. ya know..... They dont have to so i am not expecting it. If they do however, then they got a customer for life with me. It would show me alot if they do. we will see. either way I gotta get it fixed before the busa bash. I am guessing that it would be about $250 or so if i have to pony up the dough. just a guess. the bad thing on top of that is that i need a new front tire too. Guess I better go back down to the basement and fire up the printer again...lol

Well it has been 2 weeks now and i went down to the dealer today and grilled them about the front fork leak. They still have not heard anything back from Suzuki yet if they will cover it. still waiting.

New update. got of the phone with the dealer couple days ago. You guys aint gonna believe this.... He said that they would cover the repair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! can you believe that.......? I was shocked.... so I told him since he worked at getting this covered that i would buy a new front tire and have them put my frame sliders on... I have to admit i was impressed....

Does anyone know what the cost should be to replace the front fork seals? Mine are both leaking. (It's a 2004)

I asked the dealer about that just in case they wont cover it under warranty. The total cost is about 130 or so as i recall. The parts are about 35 bucks. thats for each... around here anyway

i think a safe bet would be $150 per side...

got my bike back yesturday from the dealer. Fork is fixed. got a new diablo strada front tire and had them put some frame sliders on for me.... all and all it went well. everything looks good. only bad thing is that the temp went from 75 on tues to 33 today... go figure.

Well i cant believe I am going to add to my thread almost a year ago to date but here we go again. Last year my left front fork started leaking. Now this year its the right one. It really ticks me off in a bad way considering I dont do wheelies. at least on purpose so there is no reason for this to happen other than poor quality and control from Suzuki.
They do so much right but do this so simple an issue so badly. I dont get it. Now i got to get it fixed. ok. no problem. but it is irritating. I hope I wont add to this thread next year.
