Heading to a drag strip with a buddy, we both have similar mods, both have 1st gen Busas, difference is I'm 50lbs lighter, he has slip-ons (vs my stockers); he's a better rider than me and has done this before...

So I need tips...

How hard would it be for me to remove one of his spark plugs right before he goes out? I've got dinner riding on this!

Best thing you can do is don't race him right way... Take a few runs to see what times your turning... After you know see if they will stage the lights for you. You tell them what time you think you will turn. He does the same... If he dials in lower then you your lights will go green before his. That way it is ride vs rider and time is the only thing that matters. Closest one to dial in time without going under wins.

Ride to your own ability. Touching another mans bike is like touching his gf or wife.

Most of these races are won in the first 60 feet. I don't think the 50 pound advantage will make up for it in the 1/4 mile.
