Dream Ride 2012

Well the planning logs are in the Fire and this Summer's gonna be short, as I am SO looking forward to the Dream Ride 2012 of mine
4 of us are taking the whole month of August and putting about 7000 miles / 11000 plus kms on our scoots

The Trip Home to Muskegon Mi, Ferry over to Milwaukee, to Minneapolis, to Sturgis (Bike Week), Mount Rushmore, Yellowstone, Portland, take the Coast down 101, over to Reno (Busa Stampede), to the Coast and down to San Diego, up to Vegas, Hoover Dam, Grand Canyon, down to Flagstaff, Albuquerque, through the OK Panhandle, to St Louis, and back up home. We'll be riding a Busa, ZX14, Honda CBF1000 and a Concours 14
Whoa I can't wait!!

epic ride for sure There's some amazing roads up near Sturgis definitely check out some of the area roads up there but I would recommend doing them during the day...night riding some of the back roads can be a bit, well stressful

Another thing to check into is make sure you bring everything you need to take the bike across the lake on the ferry. I've heard you need to bring your own straps, etc. I could be wrong, but I'd hate to have you get there and need and not have.. Also, have you inquired about your trailer on the ferry?

I was just at Hoover dam on Friday, man what a site, we were staying in Vegas, had a rental car, some great motorcycle roads out that way and gorgeous views.

Wow, I am jealous of your trip! What an adventure. If I am healthy enough, this is how I plan on spending my retirement years...with good friends on trips like this!!!!! Awesome

Well I still have the stock seat on there, and it was ok for the Mexico ride a few years back, so..... I think this will do (I hope lol)
