damn hurricane, tree hits roof

i keep my bikes inside for protection , 7.00 am a pine tree hits the roof and knocks sheetrock on the Busa and my 1000 scratching both, hits computer monitor and knocks it on floor. insulation and sheetrock everywhere. hole in roof, water pours in. not a good day but it could have been worse,i know a lot of people lost it all today.

We've been pretty lucky out here in Milton, a few shingles, that's about it for me. Sorry to hear about your garage and rides - hopefully, insurance will hook ya up.

I'm just glad I didn't go to Gulfport this weekend; my thoughts go out to all who have suffered on this one.

I was in South Carolina in 91 when a big hurricane came through. I was stationed in Beaufort and they shut the base down and told everyone to leave and get out of dodge. my squadron told all personnel to take their family's to safe location (out of state) and call back in a few days.

Nothing like packing up animals and anything you hold near and dear and getting on the road with 1000's of other people trying to get out of dodge.

I traded Hurricanes for Earthquakes. I guess I just prefer suprises!

I was in Columbia, SC during Hugo. That was interesting! I watched a VW bug get blown up the street in about 6in of water. It wasn't even floating!

Hurricanes are always bad, no matter what they're rated at!

Glad you made it through okay. I hope you get the bike back in shape soon so you can enjoy them again.

thanks Vincent,(mostly scratches,rode both today they seem allright) hey, i went up to Hooters last Tue. looked at the bikes there,forgot to ask you guys where you hang out there and what you look like. the only guy i knew was Terry from the Suzuki dealer. i took my 1000 up there, i was parked next to the guy with the Rune.(Harley guys would be jealous of that much chrome)missed tonight, had to put a shed together for the bikes.
