clutch problem????

Hi there wonder if anyone has the answer.............i have just got a 99 model and if i release the clutch over 3000 rpm from standing it "locks out" meaning its like it throws the clutch out fast stopping me from taking off. if below 3000rpm its fine then no problem through the box up or down, it only does it on take off basically stopping me from a quick take off. is this normal??? if so what can be done to stop this or if not what is the problem...please help its spoiling the ride. thanks
