Just kidding, I want to polish my swing arm and frame over the winter but my swing arm exstintions are powder coated black. How do you get that stuff off?

Oven cleaner.

Steel brushes / impregnated brushes, mount them in a drill press or an electric hand drill and go at it. That's how I've reworked powder coated brake brackets.
