My turbo motor let go last year at SpeedWeek (badly). I have a new base motor I am about to start building but its been 4 years sense I built a motor so I am a little rusty.

I have a few questions that can not find answers....or conflicting answers that I would like cleared up.

1. The billet high pressure regulator.
Some say use...others say mod the stock....some say just use the high volume gear.
So WTF???? I just had the high volume gear....but then I lost a motor.....just looking for answers.

2. The crank is going to be balanced, nitrated and polished. Does this change the journal size? If the same crank is going back in the case it came from can I use the bearing sizes it came with? I am going to measure with a dial bore and plasti but was wondering if its the norm that the crank bearings will be the same after polishing?

3. There has been some discussion about zx14 bearings on rods.
3a. Is this rod only, should/do they go on the crank also?
3b. Do any mods need to be made to the rods/crank to take the 14 bearings?
3c. Is there any benefit/drawback from using these bearings?

Please help with any or all of these questions. I am desperate and running out of time.

Thanks
