Bike maintenance basics?

I have had my bike for around 900 miles now and i have been through the manual that came with it.I need a quick bike maintenance check.This is what ive been doing so far.
1.Check air pressure of tires before every time
2.Lube chain everytime i ride in the rain or 300 miles (whichever comes first)
3.Check all visible screws that they are tight.
4.Try to change oil around every 2000 or so.So far i have had the 600 mile oil change done and will take it back at 1500 for the next one.
Any other bike maintenance tips?

Be sure to keep the muffler bearings well greased

Chain... Tires... Lights... etc.

check all your fairing bolts.. regularly.. the come loose on mine... and they cost 2-3$ each... it's ridiculous.

hmmm.. thats about it till 10,000ish miles I believe.

What about stuff like the brakes and clutch etc? Do they check it at the shops when u take it in for an oil change?

As long as you are not intentionally beatin the piss out of the clutch, you should not have any issues for a long time.,,, same goes for the brakes.

It's really a low maintentance bike... enjoy.

Chain tension, not too tight and not too loose.
