Better Value for $$$$?

I'll be getting into the trans to fix my first gear issues over the winter. I wanted to get a little work done to the motor as well. I thought about doing a 1397 but I don't really want to get into the bottom end. Would it be better to go with a ported head with cams? The motor as 25k on it but I'm pretty sure the rings are still in great shape....opinions

I hear from others that the power is in the head.... That being said, the 1397 kit really kicked things up on my bike.

If you want a 1397 you should already have a full exhaust and some type of fuel management. Power Commander is good, but ECU Editor is far superior.

If you're talking about a gen1 with a 1397 vs. a gen2 with exhaust and pc...the better driver will win every time.
