That is a beauty. I don't play much acoustic, but I definitely wouldn't mind hanging her in the studio.

Not really..it's in the wood and the tone of the instrument. I bought Jailbait a 414 KCE Taylor used (koa wood) for Christmas a few years back. 1996 model I belive for $1250.00.

Worth twice that now if not more. (tracking value on ebay although I have not seen very many)

I agree completely...

This is, arguably, the world's finest violin ever made. The Stradivarius. Wish it was a better image, but...it's not.

Not really, I toured the Martin Guitar factory while I was doing a contract job in PA... opening shot for any of their decent acoustics start at about $5000 (think the very cheapest was around $1500) and most of the customs were pushing $10,000 and up.. They also had on display their one off 1,000,000 unit and I think it was valued at something like $1,000,000..

They also were working a guitar out of I think rosewood that sold for $100,000 about fell over... many many guitars valued at $50G plus and the Museum? Runeight, you would die....

Everything is done by hand there with the exception of the cutouts in the front part, it is laser cut now.. Really a MUST SEE if you are in PA..

For sure. A very close friend of mine is a musician and custom ordered a Martin a few years back. By the time everything was said and done it cost him just over 10 G's and he doesn't regret it one iota. He's acquired a few quality acoustics (Takamine, Guild 12 & 6 string to mention a few) over the years and while each of them are beautiful he wouldn't give up his treasured Martin. BUgger won't even let me play (the 4 chords I know!) on the flipping thing!
