My oh My! This is an amazing save. I'd say it's as close as one can come to a highside without adding the taste of asphalt!

There's a better clip of the second one but I couldn't find it. These guys have amazing skills.

pretty sure that has been debunked as a fake video.. keeping in mind the slowest corners at most tracks are 50mph and up, that guy must run like the wind....

Randy Mamola... he also does the Busa Powerslide video that is so cool... also not his only great save...

It seemed hitting the curb caused the rear to slide. I'd love to see a datalogger info and see what was he doing with the throttle if any, and with the steering.

And he definitely had 90W in his damper.

Blake Young is a balls to the walls rider! Helluva save  I have a lot of hope for him in the upcoming AMA season.
His teammate Martin Cardenas is a sick rider too.

It was fun to watch. But can we learn something from it? Can someone break it down what were his inputs, and what was happening?

My guess would be that once the rear started coming around on the left side, he held the throttle steady, or gradually started to roll it off - not by much - perhaps 10-15% over the entire escapade. At the same time, he initially turned the front slightly to the right to straighten the bike. Overdid a little, so the rear - still sliding - went over to another side (right side). He repeated similar action, but now by turning the front to the left to straighten the bike. At this point the rear hooked up, but the front wasn't exactly straight because of steering input, hence some visible headshake until the front stabilized.
