Anyone had success removing the ugly s from a gen I fuel tank :superman:

I think it messes with the clean lines I am going for.

Any luck removing it,but not the paint underneath?

it is supposedly UNDER the clearcoat, a PITA to remove :( (sounds like you already know this)

i just took a hair dryer to it with some fishing line and came right off.

sun, fishing line (spyderwire stealth braid), and WD-40. then goo gone. or a heat gun but dont screw up the paint. I happen to like the S emblem but my buddy did not like his and thats how we removed it. came right off.

Order a new tank for Suzuki, they don't come with the "S" :laugh:

They peal off and just leave a glue residue, witch will come off with lighter fluid or goof off!
