Changed antifreeze today on my '08 had both fairings off and found this rubber block on the ground. I think I've seen it before. Any thoughts??

looks like a bumper that goes between the plastics and the frame. I think you will have to take them off to find it. Take the one off from the side you found it on. Good luck

Is it c shaped so it could go over the lip of the tank? It looks about that size. I'm pretty sure there are a few of them on the tank. I'm trying to remember if there was one like that on the inside. It does not go along frame as the plastic trim that goes up to control panel follows the frame all the way down along the tank.

An you get another picture of a different angle

Could be from tank. Not C shaped, just a long retangle, with what remains of one sticky side. Did have tank up to release any air from system. Thanks all for ideas.

It's a flex block would have come from one of the fairings no great drama next time you take it off you should see the glue shape left behind to where it should go:thumbsup:

It's on the top of the side fairing panels, where they rest on top of the frame next to the tank. One of mine came off last time as well. I used a little grip glue to reattach. It was originally held on by some double sided tape - you'll probably see that there.

Khrom, 16 and 17 have splits. Thought it was there but it may be in fairing. I guess its no big deal, but I dont like half done jobs, or parts laying on the pavement.....Thanks!

Just pull of the side panel - it's really obvious where it goes.

I am 100% sure it is supposed to stick onto the side of the frame where it will come in contact with the fairing. I took mine off when I saw it not sticking properly on the frame.

It actually sticks on the fairing, not the frame. I just stuck mine back on a few weeks ago. Top of lower fairing panel where it sits against the frame, below the tank.
