Akropovic Evolution tuning

Hi All

Im in the process of buying an Akropovic Evolution Exhaust for my
2000 Busa.

I'm also comtemplating buying a Powercommander 3 USB as I was
hoping to use one of the supplied maps as a starting point for my local
bikeshop to use when I get the bike tuned for the pipe.

Unfortuantly there doesn't seem to be a Map for a 2000 Busa Akropovic
pipe combination. There are lots of maps for 02 and up Busas and a few for the
old powercommander 2 modules.

So I'm left with a choice of either
- Trying to buy an old powercommander2 and use an existing map
- Buying a powercommander 3 usb and getting my tuner to start from scratch
- Just getting the bike tuned by using a Teka tuner.

What do you guys think?

Am I going to get significantly more performance out of a powercommander tune
than I would if I just got the Teka tune done?

I know the powercommander 3 usb is probably the best choice, but its expensive to
bring them into the country ( NZ ) and I'm not sure of the benefit over and above
a teka tune it would provide considering the bike shop is going to have to start
from scratch tuning either combination.

you never start from strach . you load a map that is close and then teak it

I would try to load the 2002-2005 map that is on there site. It might work pretty good

What he said. I would get the USB and run map M312-013 and then work form there. I am running this map with my Evolution exhaust and it is working great.
