Ok so i can up with what i htink is a pretty slick idea for a shop truck. I have bought a 1998 Chevy 1500 long bed truck. It is in goos shape, I will be painting it soon and then throwing down some sick air bruch work after. However the reason I boughti t is I have been going throuhg a lot of custom truck mags lately and I want ot put bag on all 4 corners. I know i am going to need drop the front more and thats no issie as JDM makes a 3 in drop kit to get the nose on the ground, also I will be using a cantilever (sp) set up out back with a watts link. I want ot be able ot put the frame on the ground, drop the tail gate and flip out a little ramp that isa made into the tail gate so I can just roll a bike into the truck. I know it can be done but i just dont know what bags to use so I get a frent and rear kit, or a kit that llets me runs all 4 wheels seprate of each other. So what do I need to get here folks?:beerchug:

what size wheels are you going to run?

you want compressor and tank or nitrogen?

there are a few ways to setup the valves, you can run a digital control all the way down to manual valves.

to run the wheels separate youll need 8 valves, 4 fill and 4 dump. 1 of each on each corner. fit the biggest bags you can and youll ride better, cantilever offers alot more lift and looks trick but its alot more work. ive heard horror stories of chassis tech items. most people i know like the slam specialties bags or firestones. youll have to cut the rear frame as well, you need to decide if youre doing the work or farming it out.

Couldn't you built a false floor above the axle?

I had a crazy vision that would involve converting a ranger/s10 to front wheel drive, and making the rear wheels independent. Thus creating a bed floor that could be super low and when the truck was laid out, being able to roll the bike right into the bed.

Na roll back would cost to much. Not to mention insurance. I did not think of having to raise the floor of the truck bed for clerance on the axle. I may just go the trailer route then. Ohwell at least i have a big truck to haul stuff in now. May still lower it and throw a saick paint job on.

Oh I have a HS diploma, a mech engineering dergee, as well as honor student and 2 time deans list currently in college for nursing. Some people dont type as well as the write, sorry if that offends you.

If you rub a small wheel/tire combo you may be able to lay frame without cutting the bed floor. You can get it really close on 20s

Just air the front, drop the back, and There you have it, instant ramp.
