We all know the Busa's manual says to use Kerosene, but I was reading the back of my new ek 530zzz's box and it says to use;

Use a biodegradeable degreaser with a soft bristle brush or clean cloth for removing dirt.  Use kerosene IF necessary, let dry and lubricate immediately within 10 minutes.[/quote]

So anyone know of any examples of a biodegradeable degreaser??

I've been using wd-40 for years and get excellent life out of my chains, I'm just curious what a biodegradeable degreaser is

Simple green. Use it all the time!

Been using Kerosene and works very well on removing chain grease. Not too mention a 5 gallon drum will last you a lifetime.

I use to use WD-40, but started using diesel fuel. My brother owns a large farm so the fuel is easy to get. It is basically the same as kerosene. Works great--if you can stand the smell!!!!!
