Well it has been a Busa kind of day here. Vacation and nice weather! I spent the entire day working on the new red 2000. I started out cleaning her up a little with Meguires quick detailer and then I waxed the fuel tank (for the tank cover) with Meguires Gold. Then I started on her first oil&filter change at 463 miles. While she was draining I went up to Radio Shack and bought a new soldering iron and fine solder. Came home and finished up the oil change and reinstalled the right side fairing. Then I removed the left side fairing and started on the Yellow Box install. Took one look and decided it was time to revisited Jeff's web page for a quick refresher course. Five minutes later it seemed simple enough. The soldering went well (and I'm not an expert at soldering. Installed the Yellow Box under the front seat for easy access. Then I cleaned the chain with WD-40 and used Maxima wax - safe for o-rings. Then I took her off of the rear stand and adjusted the chain. It was getting pretty loose as expected. Torqued the axle nut to 74 pounds and installed the LP cotter pin. You guys need one of those! I also got a chance to attach my V1 remote audio adaptor to the frame so I can just plug in to my helmet speakers and go. I used some heavy duty velcro from that aerostich sells. I also used the same velcro to mount the Yellow Box. I used a hairdryer to heat up the warning sticker on the tank and removed it. Had to use a bit of bug and tar remover to remove the last bit of sticky glue. Still have to remove a few other warning stickers though. Then about the time I was going to take a quick spin (about 4pm) the UPS truck pulls up with my Zero Gravity Double Bubble!! Well I took a quick spin anyway. It was nice not to be freezing for a change. I came home ate dinner and started on the Double Bubble. Not sure what the big deal has been about changing screens with others but mine was a snap. The rubber grommets so many have had trouble with came right out for me. [maybe because they are so new?] I just used my fingers. They went right back in too. No problems lining up the holes - very good fit from Zero Gravity. I believe it took less than 10 minutes including taping the edges of the DB with electrical tape.
This has been a great day and everything went
unusually smooth. Tommorrow is supposed to be 68 degrees and you can believe I will be getting some miles in and checking out the Double Bubble as well as tuning in the Yellow Box speedo calibrator. I've got to try and get though this dreaded break-in period ASAP so I can let her rip! Here's some pics [taken only minutes ago] of the mods I added today for your enjoyment:

The 2K with the 99' together looks nice. Well today I rode and rode. Took two of my kids for separate rides and now have over 600 miles. Supposed to be warm tomorrow. More riding in store if true. You will love having a digital camera. It's fun to be able to experiment and try different things without worrying about wasting film. Here's a small sample of my lake shoot today:
