Hello,
any body tried going up a tooth or two.. in the front.?
what is involved in this modification?
thanks

I went down a tooth in the front and it was a pretty big difference in the low end I am not sure that I would want to go up for my riding style I think you would loose quite a bit on the low to mid range, but if you are looking for High speed runs it would increase your top a bit.

in fact, I bet your top speed is lower then what it was before if you go an 18 with no extra HP... with stock gearing, you could hit 202 by the gearing calculator. THe problem is the wind resistance at that speed is too high to get to 202 without extra HP. If you put an 18 on, it will be even more difficult for the bike at those speeds to reach 202.
