For future hauling, it will give you piece of mind. Bolt to a 3/4 sheet of plywood. Store till you need it, then you can use any pick up or trailer. Can be mounted in front or behind the tire, no tie downs needed. Just a thought.

extra plate and bolts are $35, with all hardware removed, this is the only piece left behind.

Yeah, that is much better. Watch your speed though, your trans. and brakes are not designed for this.
