I will post pics and keep everyone updated....we wanted to go thick cause it is way more efficient at cooling than a thin core...we can cut the height down if needed for clearance. The first one will be used on the R6 and then the GSXR750....prolly won't have time to fab on the Busa for awhile yet.
We found a source and ordered 5 pre-bent intercoolers....they aren't here yet so we will see how they come out. Sizing on the core will be 320Lx220Wx50T and we will be using them on a '06 Turbo GSXR750, '08 Turbo R6, and a '08 Turbo Busa....I will give feedback and let you know how they work...
Wow they get alot of money for those! And that price doesn't include end tanks or does it come as pictured? I may have to have some US companies do some bending of some straight ones....
I am having a very difficult time finding any sources for air-to-air intercooler cores that are curved to match the radiator curve....Where is everyone getting theirs?
And btw as for LSR type tires most guys I know run the Michelin Power Ones or Power Pures...the drag guys love the Shinko for 1/4 mile stuff and 170 or less riding....
Excited to see the finished product.....will be cool to see another turbo Gen2 local....I live in Germantown, but do most of my riding down in the Milwaukee area. We will have to meet up once you get the bike back.
Thanks guys! Do you happen to know if the Gen2 setup is a direct swap for the '06 GSXR1000? I've heard 2 guys say it won't and the rest say it will. Guy has a stretch and wants a cheap way for stiffer spring/better valving. Thanks!
I'm looking to find a stock Gen2 rear spring/shock assembly for a friends '06 GSXR1000.....anyone on where replace theirs with a drag shock and want to sell their stock setup? PM me if so. Thanks!
