    Bad vibes

I too use a throttle rocker, got it off e-bay for $13.00. Still getting used to it, gotta position it just right on the grip or else you get a BIG surprise when countersteering if you know what I mean! Did help a lot with the right hand going numb.

    Pushin' the pegs...

BulletTrain, I'm in the same boat as you as far as the Busa being my first pure sportbike. Had plenty of power standards, but the Busa was a whole new world! Anyway I've had mine about a year and a half now and I regularly cruise the backroads in S. Fulton , Douglas and Carroll ( live in Lithia...

    Buying a busa

I'd go with the 2001 to avoid possible aluminum sub frame problems, there's no recall yet but there have been subframe failures on 1999 & 2000 models. 2001 and up have a steel subframe.

    Thank god for insurance

The sidestand mod Knebnr mentioned looks like the way to go. I know the feeling my 01 fell over and scratched/cracked the right side fairing, made me sick. My dealer quoted $554 for a new one!

    Oil changes

I have a brand new 2001 it's at the dealer right now for the break-in (first service) $175 OUCH!!!! But I agree it is better to have the dealer go over the bike and do the first service/oil change. After this I will be doing future maintenance. Ride safe and enjoy!

    I did it ! ! !

It had been a couple of years since I rode when I got my Busa, I remember the same feelings. It was my first brand new bike. A little nervous at first, it can be an intimidating machine! You'll get used to it, and love it!!

Need opinions, To young for a Busa?

Yeah, but what about the coppers? Down here, triple digits can get you straight from the interstate to the jailhouse!!

    Speed bleed

I remember reading that when it came out in the magazine, Its disappointing that the "euro-weenies" dictate how fast U.S. production bikes can go (unmodified of course). What's next, bikes governed at the speed limit??

    Calling busa experts

Thanks Ninja Eater, is there much difference in the BMC vs. the K&N filters? Also, where to get a BMC?

    Calling busa experts

Got some questions on a familiar subject, I've got a bone stock 2001 Busa w/ 550 miles (still in break in period) have had zero problems so far. I ordered some Jardine racing slipons just for a better sound, plus they were a good deal (I think) off eBay. Questions: is it necessary to remap the...
