I finally 'called it'. For those who followed any of my threads, you know I bought this bike knowing it was in need of some love, and in the end, the needs of the bike were more than the bank account, and what I wanted in a bike, could tolerate. I handed the Busa keys over to Harley Davidson...

Just saw your other thread, awesome news! And noted, I will certainly give that a shot. I may actually trade the Busa in this week...still waiting to speak to another dealer that has a zx-10 :-)

Great news man! Hope you finally get a chance to enjoy your bike at it's full potential. I'm curious to hear a response about the tick mark for the GPS as well. Mine does the same thing, where it moves to the top whenever I apply throttle. Interested to know if this is normal as well...

Also forgot to add something I noticed with my bike this morning... While I was waiting for it to warm up a bit, I was just kinda sitting on it in the driveway. I noticed that my headlights will flicker exactly with the idle fluctuation. I should get a video. But anyways, I thought that was...

Narrowed down the issue I had with my '07 Busa 'misfire' at upper RPM's in 1st and 2nd gear to the transmission slipping out of gear. Hoping to get some input from as many as possible on the best option moving forward. 1. New OEM Tranny - Crazy expensive, not really interested in this route...

No dice with the tranny. Turns out, the warranty was 2 months / 1000 miles. And, seeing as it's my DD...in San Diego...1000+ miles in 2 months is completely normal. So...no warranty for me. Gonna start a new thread to get some input on my options for repairing / replacing transmissions, will...

Likewise man. When yours misfires in the upper RPMs, if you can, try to keep an eye on your tach. What gives mine away, besides the fact that it happens in only 2 gears, is that every time it slips, my RPM's increase by about 300, which is exactly what should happen if the dogs on the gears...

I didn't even mention the rough idle to these guys again, I just wanted them to replicate the stutter I was getting. His best guess was a possible bent fork, but for sure 2nd gear was slipping big time. No issues shifting at all, it's perfect in every gear. That gives me a little relief...
