Can't beat it. Accurate, ultra-dependable, rugged, easy to maintain. Carrying one for 5 years now with no complaints. Make sure it's right for you, though. Be aware that it's a double-stack, so it is not as slim, or light as a G36.

Lousy way to learn a lesson. Take the helmet with you whenever you are off the bike. Leaving it "locked" on the bike isn't always the best solution. Piss off a would be thief, and they may just cut the strap to get the helmet. Seriously, I have seen this happen.

If you order a replacement oil level lens, it comes with a replacement grommet. If you are going to remove the cover to re-seal the lens (which can be done using an automotive RTV), you may as well replace the lens and grommet. It will actually be quicker to replace the lens/grommet, as the RTV...

Definitely a loss. I agree with Phil, he was a class act, and had a one-of-a-kind style of acting.

Thank you very much for sharing your grandfather's story. You must be very, very proud of his contribution not just to the American and Allied cause, but to history. Not to mention the fact that he was truly one of the people who made the "Greatest Generation" the greatest!
