synthetic oil, 3 to choose from

I just switched my K8 to Amsoil 10-40 (at 2500 miles) I have noticed smoother shifting and transitions. To make sure it wasn't in my head, I asked a gear-head buddy of mine what he thought (he's quite familiar with my bike). He said he definately noticed it as well. Surprised us both really.

    Hayabusa 2009, President's Bike

+1 The bike is very innovative, not my style, but certainly impressive. The guy shooting the video is pretty annoying.

    I Need Fairings!

Sorry to hear man. My fairing looks almost exactly like that on my new K8. The week following her first service, I was cleaning/lubing her chain (without a rear-wheel stand) When I pushed her forward to hit the last section of chain, I drug the kickstand just a tad, set her down and as I bent...

    thoughts on this jacket??

Hate to thread jack (okay, not really) but your post enticed me a bit. You say that you added a Vet patch in case you get pulled over. Comming from a law enforcment/civil service family, this interests me some. Evidently, you feel that due to being a vet, you should be able to speed, with...

    Some New Pics

Great looking bike man. This is a little off topic, but what kind of lift do you have the bike on in that one pic? Are you using tie-downs? I just got a lift but the front tire won't lock in well enough to hold the bike in place securely. I've ordered some canyon dancer tie downs to see if...

Cortech Tri Bag vs Nelson Riggs on K8

Thanks for the pics and insight so far guys. No Cortech/Tourmaster users out there? I also had one more question that I should have included originally. I'm not very sure how the fasteners work, but would the bags still hold well if I removed the plastic rear fender and mounted the plate...

Cortech Tri Bag vs Nelson Riggs on K8

I am trying to decide between these two luggage sets and was hoping some of you had some experience with them on the K8 (Or, if I'm really lucky, maybe both. :please:) I think I'm kind of partial to the Cortech, but I remember reading somwhere that they don't fit the Gen II's as well as they...

    ABS Busa 2010?

I've got to call BS on anyone who thinks thier skill level will allow them to out-perform ABS. Honestly, most anyone who really knew and understood an ABS system's capabilities wouldn't make the claim. To me, it sounds about the same as one of those guys out there who will swear that they...

    Lurker going public~

Right on man, we'll definately have to get together some time. I also head down to Daytona a couple times a year. Usually in Feb, and around Biketoberfest if anyone's from down in that area. Planning on heading to Land between the lakes in a few weeks as well. Thanks again for all the...

    Lurker going public~

Hey gang, been lurking around here gathering info for a while now and have decided to introduce myself. I'm 27 years old and a firefighter in Kentucky. I've ridden as long as can remember, but have just recently taken my first plunge into the sport bike world. (Loving it) Somtime between...
