Not sure if this topic has ever been posted.... I currently have a 99 busa with less than 8000 miles on it.  Should upgrade to a newer year?  If so, what year should it be?

Sorry to ask a really dumb question...Do I have to remove my fairings in order to see the oil level indicator? If so, which side? Try looking at the manual but could not really tell from the illustration. Help

Same here in Bangkok traffic. The car put infront of me, which caused me to stop and stalled. When trying to fire her back up, she wouldn't. Sat around for 30 minutes, nothing happened. Had to ask a security guard to push the pike so I can jump start it. Got home and try starting it after...

Thank you for the explanation. Strangely, the problem occurred when the tank was removed to get a paint job and the shop used an external reservoir. After the bike was put together, the problem never came up again.

Just bought myself one of the hayabusa engraved chrome grip off of ebay. It does look good, but how does it feels?

Can some give me a detailed description of how to remove the fuel pump and cleaning it? What is the risk for doing this?

I am assuming the nature of the question is confusing.... My question is: How does one knows that the fuel pump is bad? What are the sympton and how do I verify that the pump has gone bad?

How does one you that our beloved busa has a bad fuel pump? Beside the assumption of the bike is a 99 busa. What would be the sympton?

Based on your explanation, it seems like the filter is in the fuel pump itself. Is it that hard to take apart the fuel pump to access the filters. Anyway, can a 01' fuel pump be installed on a 99'?

But does the fuel pump has anything to do with the heat buildup. The installing issue is occuring when it is sitting at the shop and when the fairing is off.

Same with tdrcomm...can a fuel pump of 01' or upward, be install on a 99'?

Okay, I know this has been discussed several times already.  I just bought a 99 busa and took it in for services.  The mechanics (although is not a busa mechanic) is telling me that the bike is dying out when the thermostat hits half way and thinks it is related to the fuel pump which "might"...

Guys, Can you help me out? I remember seeing a posting regarding relocating the thermostat which has a pic by pic on how it should be done. I believe the reason for this mod is because hayabusa place the thermostat at a location that doesn't true tell the exact temperature. HELP>
