Bear, I know what you mean. Back in about 1970 I was a senior at the UofA (Tucson) and in the Army ROTC flight program. Basically it was enough free hours to get a private license, and used more or less as an apptitude test to see if they wanted to let you go further once you were commissioned...

I don't see public stunting as any different from driving down the road IN TRAFFIC and shooting at signs or roadside rubbish. The thing that really roasts me, and I mean right down to the 'nads, is the public stunter's blatant disregard for that 400-500 pounds of kinetic energy that's no more...

I have a set of Tourmaster mesh jacket and pants, about $160 each. It's decent. The only complaint is that I wish the upper arm had a velcro strap to minimze the exceess material flapping at speed. It seems cooler than perfed leathers, but a little more "naked" too... as in some less protection...
