    Gen 2 Pump Not Priming

Bike is in neutral and gear indicator agrees. Are you thinking it might be battery? Starter cranks with a gusto, but admittedly, this is a wally world battery. Granted, the best battery wally world had, but still a wally world battery. Any ideas on how I could test to confirm it's the battery?

    Gen 2 Pump Not Priming

Hey guys... Hoping someone out there in the .Org could help me out on this. It's probably something amateur I've overlooked, but I did do several searches and didn't turn up anything. Anyway, the other day, the bike died and would not start again. No error lights on the dash, and the bike will...

Running out of Fuel Sooner After Replacing Pump?

update: I think you're right. New gas cap doesn't seem to be venting. I opened it up when it started doing it again, and she would come right back... Seems the lower the fuel level gets, the worse it is, I guess because there's less pressure from the fuel to offset the vacuum. Venting it a...

Running out of Fuel Sooner After Replacing Pump?

I believe there is a vent line. And I thought that at first as well, but its at least venting well enough to get through 4.5 out of 5.5 gals... I would think if it wasn't venting, it would cause an issue after a gallon or so? But I could be wrong. Maybe I'll open the cap next time its close to...

Running out of Fuel Sooner After Replacing Pump?

Hey guys, was hoping someone could shed some light on a weird fuel issue I'm having... The bike sat for about 6 yrs, and when I went to get her back on the road a few months ago, I found the tank, fuel pump, and injectors all gummed up with varnish and rust... Queue derusting the tank, cleaning...

Thanks for the input guys. I'll take a look at the o-rings and if they're good I'm just going to ride it and keep an eye on it.

    Chain Installation

By free/frozen, do you mean does the link flex and rotate freely? Then yes, it is free and does not seem any more stiff than any other links. OK, maybe I'm over-analyzing. I have a tendency to do that. Just figured I'd check to be safe before I called it good. Not at Sandia, but I am an...

    Chain Installation

Hey guys. I just installed a new chain myself for the first time, and was wondering if you guys could give me a sanity check. I installed a DID ZVM-X, with a rivet type master. On DID's website, I found the tolerance I need to hit for the diameter of the rivets. DID calls out .217" - .228"...

    Intermittent Starting Problem?

Thanks for all the replies guys. Got it sorted. Yesteday I pulled the clutch switch and cleaned it (which was still very clean for having never been cleaned since I bought the bike 5 yrs ago!). Disassembled the throttle housing, got to the switch, opened it up, and thoroughly cleaned the...

    Intermittent Starting Problem?

Hey guys. Wow, has it been a while since I've posted here... Anyway... Got an issue I was wondering if anyone had any insight into. Bike sat for about 6 months. Yesterday, I changed the oil, did the brakes, installed a fresh battery, and started riding again. However, I noticed a problem...

Help (I have a hunch its the fuel pump)

So I got the new pump installed today... Was surprised how easy it was... Easier than changing the oil... Took me about an hour, but I do everything slow when working on the bike. Anyone who knew what they were doing could probably do it in 15 mins... Hardest part was unclipping the damn...
