Caps quick thoughts on Gen 3

The market has moved on. This is not 2008 anymore. Emmisions have taken a center stage. The 1000 cc category is the top of the like now and they get all the newer tech and power. Kawasaki with their forced induction revolutionized power figures and the newer Ducatis and BMWs are modern marvel...

    ways to rest feet ??

Hanging the legs down, swinging them, standing on the pegs is what I ve done. None safer than the other. Ideally, stop, get off, walk a few steps, squat, stretch and get back on. But I find it quite a chore to stop and get off on longer trips and only do it when the fatigue becomes unbearable.

Best year for gen2 / with or without ABS ?

I guess if you buying one today, get the one with the ABS. The standard brakes on this thing leave a lot to be desired and one has to spend considerable coin to bring them up to speed. Not that the ABS that came on this is any advanced but atleast its there. Unless of-course you getting a...

Are the dust seals leaking ?

@rubbersidedown - International couriers do get delivered now as long as they not from China. They can be very expensive though and spend a considerable time at the Indian Customs office for scrutiny if the package is heavy. Under a kilo, and its fine. We have a very heavy import duty cost. To...

Are the dust seals leaking ?

@Hayabusa Wannabe - I am not based out of US. So using tuners in US is beyond my options. Getting dust and fork seals and changing the oil is my best bet at the moment.

Are the dust seals leaking ?

@rubbersidedown - I am not sure I have access to an independent garage here that would have the knowledge to fine tune the suspension even if I invest in expensive parts. Plus like you said, for purely street riding and I have been okay with the suspension of the busa all along, for me it makes...

Are the dust seals leaking ?

Okay, I was reading here and now I am thinking about changing the springs and valves and rebuild the forks. What springs and valves do folks here recommend? Also, I know the stock oil is 5W. Is going with 7W advisable? The bike has covered 50,000 kms , roughly 32000 miles. 2011. only street...

Are the dust seals leaking ?

Thanks for the explanation @Mythos @rubbersidedown The preload is indeed set for my weight. I am around 210. This is a purely street bike. The front end is quite stable during cornering. Not jumpy or skittish. The other dust seal is absolutely fine and the tube only has some grime/dust from...

Are the dust seals leaking ?

Hello folks, So due to lockdown the bike has been sitting idle for a few months. While cleaning it yesterday noticed the area around the front left dust seal moist with traces of oil. I cleaned it thoroughly because many times the seal leaks when the bike is sitting idle for months. Took it for...

    "Loud Pipes,Save Lives" debate.

The problem with loud pipes is not with the pipes per se but the daftness of the rider using them. They definitely help you get noticed which is critical when you on 2 wheels. People are aware that you are around. But one does not need to turn that wrist all the way every time to announce...

    FOOT TOAST

You could use a heat wrap on that portion of the exhaust. I did on mine and it was an improvement. Although, the heat on the upper leg/thigh area is far more in my case to be bothered with the heat near the foot. Running full Ti-Force.

Its all about the down force I guess!

So surfing the other day, I came across this picture. I will let it do the talking.

Got my wheels powdercoated, and my paint picked out.

Coated rims and a TiForce. We have something in common.

    key chip

South east asia also has them. They give you a 4 digit code specific to your bike with the keys. If you lose the key, the dealer would code a blank key to the specific engine immobilizer code. If you dont have the code, you have to replace the entire ignition coding which is a very expensive...
