Well since winter is starting here in Michigan, it's time to start my winter project. A few months ago I bought a 2001 busa. This will be the 4 Busa that I have had. The bike came with a 240 complete kit that has spent it's life in a box. New and never installed. The bike is black and gray and has about 8k miles. So far I have ordered a ton of stuff for it and I am just waiting on everything to get here. As of now I have taken the bike apart. See pictures. I updated the clutch to a Kevlar one, plus a chrome cover, updated the stator to a 20/30 amp plus another chrome cover for it. I ordered a full rekey kit because the guy I got it from had a ket to start it and another key for the tank and rear seat. Plus chrome hand controls and switches. Chrome tank side blocks, chrome front and rear sets, new master cylinders for the brakes and clutch. New Corbin seats. I am thinking of changing the plastics to white with black lettering from summit fairings. Have any of you tried the undertail from hotbody?? Or the tank covers that come with fairing kits?? Would any you change, update, or upgrade anything else??

This forum is the s%&t. Very friendly people, very knowledgeable about every Busa related. Pictures blow of how the looked when I got it, the way it sits now, the fairings I want and the front wheel and brake rotors so far.

Actually I do have front and rear stands. Lol. Just don't like them. The were from Amazon and they do not feel that stable. Nothing like ratchet straps over the rafters to keep it upright. Plus I am changing fork seals.
I don't like the stands that lift under the forks either.
I use a front forklift stand, they have a pin that fits into the bottom of the lower triple clamp, so you can remove the forks too.

I have not seen a set like that. I would be interested in seeing a picture of it.

I'm guessing you have the venom stands from Amazon which is what I have and if so they are really sturdy and they sell the triple tree attachment separately to go on the front fork lift. Good looking project you've got, I seeyour in Lansing area I'm down by Detroit maybe next season we can get together for a ride.

Thank you for your service and I hope you are doing ok now.
I am. I really appreciate your service too. It took about 10 years and 12 surgeries to fix me. But I have nothing to complain about. I picked up a bunch of extra steel. But. I work 5, 12 hour days a week, spend tons of time with my wife and kids. And just can't wait for the warm weather to get back to Michigan so I can ride.

Definitely have to get together. I wondered how many of the members are from Michigan. I will have to check those stands out. Thanks
