Ok I can't find a thread meet than 2010, does anybody have suggestions for any newer adjustable stands? And do they all work with the factory safety stressing switch? I've looked at the Brocks but for $200 I'd like something a little better looking than them. I'm not looking to build a show bike but details like a cool looking stand so help when the bike is parked

Go into Amazon, there are many adjustable stands for the Hayabusa, Basically close your eyes and point to one I guess as I'd imagine they are all pretty much the same..

@c10 Bryan which kind were you running when you had a REAL bike.....:poke::lol:

A ninja 650 stand modified / welded foot , and deployment post . it was 15.1 ounces lighter than stock , and tucked in tighter allowing GP shift without hitting the stand due to my limited ankle movement .

hmm - so you fear the leaning angle with the standard stand or what´s your reason?

i personally never would replace my orig. stand - costs money what i could inverst better otherwise
e.g. new bearings for steering, rims, swing arm or a k&N / BMC or so airfilter etc.

and with the notch in the original stand it comes 10° more out in front plus motor in 1st gear pushed my busa stand as save as ever possible.

I just ordered the Brocks stand from Schnitz Racing, got a set of those EBC sintered HH pads y'all keep talking about. I know I'm new but there's been a couple of times lately that I've wished for better brakes

The original owner put lowering links on the rear and an adjustable stand so I assume the factory stand was to long after she was lowered. I was riding a couple weeks ago and when I stopped for gas I couldn't find the stand with my boot cause the bottom half had fallen out somewhere on the road. She still stands up but is lemming to far and there's no foot so I can't park on dirt/ grass at all. I agree with you I'd spend money on much more important stuff but it's not an option.

sorry - only at the rear? :banghead: that is a damn bullshi77 because that way you turn the busa´s chassis to a kind of chopper´s chassis with missing of any agility at country roads.

pls ;) read for the coherences this page, written by wilbers, at my homepage
and you will correct this lowering a.s.a.p. i suppose

length of the original dog bones is 119-120 mm middle of hole to hole
put in shorter with 109-110 mm middle of hole to hole and you will guess you got another bike

then to top this feeling to more agility drop the busa´s front 15 mm down
plus a superbike bar with 760 mm wideness
and your feeling will be as if you got a 180 kg lightweight bike at all c. roads
without any loosing of stability even at highest speeds far behind 250 km/h / 150 mph .

my ´00 is steerable with only two fingers round nearly any corner - no more strength/power is required.

and
the possibility of avoiding an obstacle by higher agility is increased considerably - the safety when driving increases considerably.

front brakes bad feelings / spongy at a gen1?
then using HH pads?
my experiences with dozens of older bikes and original discs tell me - b.f.a.p. = biggest fault as possible !
the HH only eat your discs and you won nearly nothing.
with HH pads your original discs last for ~ 20-25 000 km then you got em down under the min of 4.5 mm
(single exception - the manufacturer of the new? disc say HH / semi sintered pads are tested fine for this discs)
my hint was:
put the tokico calippers into pieces and clean em deeply - see here what i found 6 month ago at a ´99 gen1 - pure horror
then take the ebc organic (fa188), let em take "the form" of your used discs by softly pulling and releasing the lever for around 2-4 miles and then .....
and the organic let your discs live lot longer - i would say around 60 000 km depending on the style you ride ;)

@Blacksmith what year is yer Busa? I ask because there are upgrades to brakes that will help 10X more than pads.Nothing wrong with the upgrade to EBC,but they alone can't work miracles. The component on the kickstand is call the "side-stand switch"...no biggie. Be BIGTIME careful parking yer Busa till you get a proper functioning stand. Without a foot, that stub will sink right into asphalt, etc. Perhaps carry a little block of wood or something in the meantime,
Rubb.

She's an 09 so gen 2. I'm not looking for a miracle but my pads are getting thin and I thought I may as well upgrade while I'm changing them. I'd like to upgrade calipers rotors and master cylinder sometime soon but most money is going to my 3 year old right now so it's one step at a time and my beautiful bike ain't number 1. I still need to replace my slightly leaking clutch master cylinder but haven't done it

uuups - little inaccuracy - sorry

my description above of different thicknesses of pads (lh to rh) is only my experianc with the gen1 tokico calippers !

the behavior of the radial calippers at the gen2 and their pads i do not know exactly.

the only same issue at gen2 you definitely will have is the air (accumulation?) in the crossing line over fender like at gen1.
