Having owned a 1992 TZR250RSp and a 500 Gamma I can tell you nothing is like driving a 2 stroke in the corners. The sound I really miss....

There is no weight spec given and i assume the bore/stroke is from the V4 yamaha from back in the day. The chassis looks current.

I hate to say it but the new crop of liter bikes ( S1000RR) would destroy these bikes today on the track...

I would by the LS-218 for 40 long before I would buy a chitty 2 stroke with 160 hp. The last gp 500s made more than 200HP and guess what, the new GP four strokes make way more power, lol.

The LS would leave it for dead .

Many GP500 bikes used the 54/54 bore and stroke back in the day.

It would be nice to get a peek at the engine
and see whose "genetic material" in in the engine.

160 HP in street trim gives a very nice power to weight ration
so excellent acceleration, but would need help on the top end.

Still, only 500cc.........

the new 4 stroke dirt bikes make more power too but not necessarily as fun to ride tho. I agree tho the 218 wud be a far better investment but the LS would not leave it for dead. not even close! and at 200 hp thats decent but it aint makn more power then that so ur limited.

I wud be yawning at 200 hp. chit I yawn at 300 hp. two stroke power aint electric power. ever ride a two stroke sled makn 160 hp? imagine that on the street.
